"It might blow up, but we won't go pop."

If you live in New York City, chances are you've seen these guys. They're all over the city, playing in the subways and public spaces with the guy with the green trumpet and the Tuba for God's sake, and if you're like me, if you're not too tired on your commute home you might pause for a minute to listen to the incredibly huge music they produce before your eyes, and then hurry on your way again without giving much thought to them.




A couple of weeks ago I heard a story about them on Studio 360 and learned that seven of the eight musicians are brothers and I thought that was amazingly cool. If you look them up online you'll learn that they've toured Enland and Germany, played live with Mos Def , and until recently all lived together in one house in Ozone Park. They have a blog here.
