Some not very constructive comments from my co-workers about my new wireless telephone head set that I have to wear all day long:
"You look very professional."
"You look very sexy."
"You look like you have an electric toothbrush strapped to your ear."
"Do you look stupid? Well, I'm just not the kind of person who concerns himself with looks, so I can't say."
"Are you going to wear that on the toilet?"
"I didn't even notice it."
"Are you on the phone? Or are you talking to yourself again?"

Corporate accounts payable, this is Nina speaking. Just a moment...
Hmm. I thought I would feel like the Material Girl. Actually, I feel like a tool, but it is kind of cool. I also have a "lifter" for my phone so when my phone rings and I'm not at my desk I get a little beep in my ear, then I press a button and a little device on my phone lifts the receiver off the cradle to engage the line. This allows me to answer the phone when I'm in the copy room or the kitchen or someone's office or, theoretically, on the can.
I guess what's good for increased productivity is good for Cupcake.
