I just finished watching the Jim Sheridan film In America and oh boy, did I cry! But at least this time I feel like it was an emotional response relatively proportionate to the stimulus, unlike a few weeks ago when I cried during the entire Kevin Smith film Jersey Girl, even though I was only half watching it.

I've seen that movie four times and it's made me cry every one ... soooooooo good!
BT- I assume you're talking about In America and not Jersey Girl. I haven't returned the IA DVD yet; I'm planning on watching it, and crying through it, all over again with the director's commentary. I'm interested to see how much of the story was autobiogrpahical. You know the director and writer Jim Sheridan, who also worked on The Boxer, In the Name of the Father and My Left Foot is responsible for bringing us the 50 Cent biopic?
