This is what Festivus Looks Like

The Agony of Defeat!

On of the disadvantages off all this work-related and transit-related crap is that I never got to write about the DH Festivus Party that took place last week. Above, Carnivore and RAH engage in Thumbwrestling, the official Festivus Feat of Strength.

One of the highlights of the night was that I got to talk to Mr.GoodTaste who was effusive with praise for my blog. I've said it before, I'll say it again: the way to a girl's heart is through her blog. Mr.GoodTaste then won me over for good when he was describing a literary genre and asked, "What's it called again? I forget. You would know."

"A roman a clef?"

"Yes. That's it."

"Wow, I'm so flattered you thought I would know the answer."

Although this did not arise in conversation, I have since learned through independet means that Mr.GoodTaste is a Rockstar. Huh?? I had no idea! Next time, you might want to lead with that.

Mr.GoodTaste: me likes it.

I anticipated that Cupcake Sobriquet Naming Day was on the horizon, but had no idea it would come with such props.

Color me flattered (and orange).

Muk, I really loved "Better in the Morning" and "Tomorrow Come Soon". May I reiterate? I had no freakin' idea...

Timmy, I'll deal with you when I get to Rhode Island at the end of the week. You're lucky you've got a birthday coming up...
