Yesterday my brother said to me, "Oh, hey. Did I tell you I'm in a band?". I laughed. "No, really, I'm in a band." I racked my brain to see if I could remember my brother ever showing any musical talent.
"Um, okay. And what instrument do you play, exactly?"
"Bass guitar."
"Really? How long have you been playing bass guitar?"
"Oh, I haven't learned yet. "
"You haven't learned yet? But you want to be in a band."
"No, I'm in a band."
"What's the name of the band?"
"We don't have a name yet. It's a work in progress."
"And how long do you anticiapte learning how to play bass is going to take?"
"I figure a month, tops, before I'm ready to play a set."
