Dial E for Easter

The less written about Easter, the better. I'll keep it brief and try to focus on the positive here.

Conversation five minutes after checking into our room at the Hampton Inn:

Me: "There's no minibar."
My Brother: "I know. I already checked."

We did get to catch the last third of the Mayweather/ Judah fight on HBO including that outrageous brawl that broke out in the ring. LittleBrother went out with friends on Saturday night and, considering that the hotel was being paid for with Dad's credit card, I decided to get a pay-per-view movie. I saw Woody Allen's Match Point which was very good and evocative of classic Allen like Crimes and Misdemeanors. The movie cost $12.99 plus tax, so I am certain my father will now think that I was watching porn in the hotel on Holy Saturday on his dime.

Easter Morning in the hotel. Let us raise our voices in song.

Jesus Christ is risen today (rep. Alleluiah)

Enjoy the Contintental Breakfast Buffet.

Brandon Frazier on tv!

Blast from the Past and The Mummy.

The Easter Sunday Pre-Game. My brother and his "Three Wise Men": NyQuil, DayQuil and PeptoBismouth. "That's a delicious glaze on the ham. What is that, pineapple? No, DayQuil."

Me: So, did the Easter Bunny come to the house this year?

Pop: Yes. [I look around expectantly] But he only got as far as the front door. Then, I shot him.

We now resume posting in Ordinary Time.

Oh, come on! Where's the fun in that? I need to know just how crappy and annoying someone elses easter was to make me feel better about mine!

I know, I know. Thinking of possible hurtful consequences before I write something is totally not like me and, in general, not good blog policy. But this is how we're going to roll as far as Easter is concerned.

I'll write something disparaging about myself soon and that should make you feel better.

If it makes you feel better I totally insulted my sister in law and it didn't even bother me):)

Dang, I was about to say the same thing! With no new posts to read I have actually had to do some work today. ( I worked 70hrs a week for the last 2 weeks so I haven't come close to fulfilling my RDA of f-ing around on the internet lately!)
