It's Like they're reading this blog...

Just heard from LaHipster who is hard at work planning her holiday party, which will go down this weekend. This Park Slope bash boasts the unusal brag of having one invited party guest for every one square foot of space in the apartment. It's going to be great, but if seating becomes limited, I reserve the right to hold forth from the toilet. LaHip sent me the link to two gifts on WishingFish that any girl would be lucky to have: the chocolate covered Oreos and the "Cupcake Queen" scarf. Did you see that Cupcake Queen? There is a Cupcake Queen scarf.

Also, it has been very nice to receive Christmas Cards from EdithVed and Aunt Vanessa. I also received the annual Christmas Card and Letter from the family I worked for in Vienna as a nanny. They have since moved to Munich and added another kid and dog to the family. What is notable about this letter is that it is four pages, in small font with three columns. It is this length every year. You literally cannot read it in one sitting. Also, I am concerned because it looks like they put high lights in the five-year old's hair. That's not right.

Update: LaHipster just informed me there will be many eligible bachelors at her party. "Wear bling," she said. Well, if by "bling" you mean "yarn and smears of confectioner's sugar on my ass" I should be allllll set.

I was looking at a Crate & Barrel catalog and they had Oreo Bark for sale. I decided to make some for myself and it was so good. All I did was melt a package of white almond bark and stirred in about two cups of crushed Oreos. I then spread it out on some parchment paper, let it cool, then broke into pieces. Try it, it's great!

Glad you got the card.
