A Note to the people who make Smudge-proof Waterproof Mascara II

Okay mascara, I don't like you and you don't like me, but we have to come to some kind of understanding here. You see, I have very light hair including very light eyelashes. Normally I do not mind this, because as a person of the Italian persuasion, well, we tend to be hairy. And I'd much rather endure invisible eyelashes than a a thick dark Lady 'stache. So I'm not complaining, but without a little cosmetic help my eyes just kind of fade back into the rest of my head.

I've tried eyelash tinting (having my eyelashes dyed with a vegetable based dye at a salon). I've even had this done in multiple countries. Luckily, the day I went to the salon in Vienna we had been working on reflexive German verbs in class so I could inform the Technician, "Es brennt mich! Es brennt mich!" (It's burning! It's burning me!). Yeah, it's not real pleseant to experience and it always comes out too dark for the first few days and it doesn't last terribly long. So I've kind of gone off this option.

So when I'm feeling ambitious, I used a waterproof mascara in the mornings. I always have high hopes, but when I return home at the end of the day and look in the mirror all of my mascara has migrated to settle in lines under my eyes to make me look like I enjoy playing in the left over ashes from Ash Wednesday. And I haven't done anything to deserve this! No downpours. No photoshoots splashing in waterfalls. No smudging activities! It's not like I drag my hands across my eyes crying "Woe is me!". The biggest workout my eyes get each day is blinking and it seems to me that mascara ought to be able to handle that.

So what is the solution here? Are you going to stay on my lashes or do I have to ask the guys repaving the next street over if they can spare some tar?

ohhhh Cupcake. My cosmetic life is CONSUMED by the search for non-smudgy mascara. The best I've found so far is the Mabelline "Unstoppable" mascara though I assure you - it does stop. But it's the best of a bad bunch... I'll let you know if I find anything that stays on lashes as intended by God and Max Factor.

For my un-luscious eyelashes, I can find no better mascara than Prescriptives. Use the Lash Builder then either their Shaping or Plush mascara. Mmmmm, sexy.

Thanks for the tips. I'll try out your reccomendations after I get to the end of my Almay disaster tube.
